The evening of November 10, 2015, was a busy one for platoon officers from the Timmins Police Service. Within an hour, police responded to two separate incidents which resulted in charges being laid against six individuals.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., police received a report of individuals in the area of Algonquin Blvd. and Spruce St. N. who were possibly in possession of a weapon. Police quickly attended the area and located two individuals. Further investigation revealed that the individuals were in possession of a pellet gun, as well as a concealed edged weapon. While attempting to affect an arrest on one individual for breach of recognizance, police were confronted by three additional individuals who began to act aggressively toward officers on scene. Officers gained control of the individuals and placed them under arrest.
