Well this should rule out Keith Urban being the main act this summer

"The U.S. country music superstar was announced Wednesday as the first headliner for 2017’s edition of the Boots & Hearts festival, set for Aug. 10-13 in the Barrie area at Oro-Medonte township on the northwest shore of Lake Simcoe."

I don't see why this would rule it out.... although it may affect ticket sales if people can see keith later in the year....

Who is going to travel from the South if they can see him in Barrie a week or so later? Also he is out West prior to this (on the 5th)

Have you heard a country song in the last 25 years?

I've heard this opinion from many folks for years and they get "jolted" when the artists that sing a few of the songs played on Kiss (or other related Top 40 crap stations in other markets) win Country awards and accolades because THEY ARE COUNTRY ARTISTS who happened to get exposure because of a pop remix version gets released.

If you take a country song and remove the banjo, you have rock.

You'd think the headliner would be an exclusive act that is not playing in Southern Ontario later - well this will flop.

Too much country music....jeez...

I'm hearing a lot of mixed reviews about the performing artists. It scares me when it appears to be the Mayor, council and city administrators in charge.

Not sure I would say "Too Much Country" Certainly lots of rock, and Hedley and Simple Plan are good for the younger crowd.

2 out of 8 nights. That's too much? In that case there is too much music for teenagers too. (2 out of 8 also.) [giggle

Of course you are hearing mixed reviews. You could have the 10 to 15 of the BIGGEST (and I mean newest & hottest mixed with the most legendary acts) in the world and folks would still have something to complain about. Not a Timmins thing...just human nature.

Timmins can't have Dairy Queen, Starbucks, Chapters or Costco.

You can however get Keith Urban. [snicker
