Here's a great video from the past that I posted in the Timmins group.



Timmins 1928

Shot of prospectors marching along Main Street in cold of winter, some are leading horses others riding in cutters and sleighs. Shots of buses and cars in front of Dalton's in winter, parading past camera as Mr Dalton holds up sign, "WE NEVER SLEEP". PAN of crowd watching parade. Confused looking town policeman standing in middle of snow-laden street, speeded up scenes of pedestrians scurrying along street, buses passing in front of Dwyers Livery and Taxi in Schumacher, Ontario.

Two elderly men chatting, printing crew outside office of town paper the "PORCUPINE ADVANCE". Interior shot of man operating lyonotype in office. CS of man setting up printing forms, feeding sheets into press, printed news coming off press. CS of school children running towards and past camera, hearse in front of funeral parlour. Cars entering "CITY SERVICE" gasoline station in 40 below zero weather. Interior shot of department store.

Exterior and interior shots of plumbing store, plumbers threading pipe. Woman inspecting modern bathroom articles in store. LS of lumber mill, sawhorse being hauled on sleigh by horse. Shots of men in overalls planing, dressing lumber in mill. Men carrying Beatty washer. LS of ore cars at coal sheds in Timmins, coal being unloaded from truck.

Bakery trucks outside and inside, men loading flour in mixer, bread being mixed in hand mixer in bakery, dough being rolled and cut for baking, placed in oven and finally coming out in golden loaves, being wrapped in sanitary paper. Sunday dressed bakers loading their trucks with products, customers buying the goods in grocery store. Shot of horse-drawn delivery sleigh in winter. CS of Phillip Boudreau with two of his dogs in living room of his home.
