Somebody told me they heard that Cochrane is getting a Harvey's including Swiss Chalet items but I'm wondering if the announcement they read was for Cochrane, AB.

I was in Cochrane back in September and there was no sign of any new restaurant

Don't know. It's all over Facebook when you search for it. No press release, no other info anywhere on the net however.....just stuff posted from the Northern grapevine, aka Word-of-mouth.

I can't help but be a bit of a skeptic.

It would be kind of weird if it opened in Cochrane yet a place like Timmins with a much larger market wouldn't have one. You can't just built one of those restaurants overnight.

They can't open one where no one wants to run the franchise - maybe someone in Cochrane has money to burn? Timmins could get one too if someone wants to fork over the cash and run it.

When I was there in mid-September a sign on the building said A&W would be re-opening under new ownership.

A Harvey's/Swiss chalet combo is a good call.
Cara foods is having some trouble with Swiss Chalet.
Too many seniors and not enough of the younger crowd coming in.

Well that's good news then! Cochrane would probably be the smallest market that would have one.
