Well you can catch the bus by Home Depot so why not! When I was younger I would sometimes carry huge things on the bus. The drivers didn't care as long as it wasn't being done during busy times where people could get hurt. I've seen some cities with buses that have storage compartments.

I've seen people literally get on the bus with their bikes.. But they had to sit at the back of the bus..

If people can get on the bus with these huge baby strollers, block the aisles and sit at the front of the bus.........then anything is fair game.

I literally had to climb over TWO of these things last week to get to a seat. They were right at the front...one on each side.!!!!

What some of the drivers will do, if the bus isn't crowded, is flip up the handicapped seats so the strollers can 'park' there. And that works well. I've even seen the people with the strollers do that. I don't understand why, on the bigger buses that have the room, why the driver doesn't ask them to move to the back. In most cases these people sit right in the front seats!!!!

Now I sure as hell am not young, but I can still manoeuver pretty well, but when someone with a cane, or obviously having trouble has to get thru this obstacle course....then there's something very wrong.

This is the way to travel on a city bus with a bicycle.

I am guilty of being one of the people on the bus with a stroller :o( I try to use my small stroller and it doesn't take up much space, but sometimes we have no choice but to sit at the front since you get 1 or 2 people who will hog all of the seats at the back!

Well you can't exactly bring a stroller to the back 3 seats so the other option is the 4 seats facing each other...when you get 2 people sitting there either with their feet up or with bags beside them that they won't move, that makes for a whole lot of hogging! Sure you can ask them to put their feet down, but than why should I sit in a pile of sand or snow? Either way, I'm not one of those people who leave my stroller in the aisle so that people can't get by.

If you ever drove the Melrose, Westmount or South Porcupine routes then you definitely had me as a passenger.

It wasn't as if I always had large items. I would always plan it so that the driver didn't have a problem. I would often ask a day or two ahead and make sure I had that driver when I rode.
