its fixed... SO you are now unsubscribed to those emails. if you get other emails from us once in a blue moon, its up to you not us to track down your account. if you can't just filter the emails to trash, easy peasy.

Actually no, its up to the forum owner. If they did not opt in for these emails (which i never did and the link to unsubscribe to them was not working) then its considered Spam.

Here is a topic about it (though there is tons of info on the new law out there)
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2249521

You may have noticed back in June/July that email lists and such you may have signed up to in the past sent out emails that you needed to again sign up to the list to comply with the new laws.

It was a technical mistake. During the testing phase the four of us were posting here. We never got emails...that I remember. When the database was moved over...BOOM. It started.

Capt, how many emails did you get?

when i installed it i didn't think it was opt-out, i assumed by the mod description that it was opt-in, even with the testing before i put the redirect to the new software, it didn't behave like that. if it did, you would have been getting emails for almost 3 weeks before yesterday. I don't know why the program suddenly came to "life" like that when we went "live" nothing changed yesterday cept we reimported the database from VBulletin as the DB was 3 weeks old by the time we figured we could let the people see our work.

I never knew that 8 emails could bother you so much. Were you having a bad day?

Not a big deal, but the local weather / temperature on the left hand side shows Kapuskasing. Not sure if it is using an auto-locate?

It's coded to for Timmins, must have a mind of it's own at the other end. [shrug

I've seen it happen even when we had tT version 1. It says Timmins right now, but might show Geraldton or such later for a moment. [shrug No idea why....

The banner photo at the top seems to be the wrong size. The right hand side is a continuation of the photo
(this is using IE11)

The banner width should be at least 1920 pixels wide. But John will probably come in with. "your monitor is that big. Well la de da." [roll

There is a code that lets you fix or have the browser do multiple images is when you use a small image

This is probably what he means. I believe this happens regardless of the browser used. If your window isn't maximized, it may look correct but when fullscreen it "repeats the background to fill the space. A wider background image would fix that.

Ignore the blacked out part on the logo. [teehee
