You're welcome.

As for thrilling, it depends how you look at it.

The Windows Store is nice and lots of free apps and games there. Micorosft Edge (IE's replacement) is actually a nice browser once you break free of Bing. IE11 is still included, just hidden.

Probably other things I'm not thinking of too. Moving from Windows 7 to 10 is a different experience then moving from 8.1 to 10 though.

However, unless it gives out free $20 bills, YOU won't be thrilled. :p

Since having it I have had network adapter issues and lost all the photos on my memory card. [swear

Well, in that case.....coincidence. MS's reach isn't THAT advanced...to actually wipe items around the computer it's getting installed on.

Oh? What is it doing? Maybe it needs a new driver but the manufacturer didn't release it yet.

It magically disconnects and I have to run the troubleshooter to reset it.

Might actually be an issue with the router. Any "open" networks close by to try and connect to test and see if it disconnects too?

Also, wireless can suck...as Pete would say...donkey balls.

No protection. Oh-oh. [1laff

AVG might not work in Win10, check their site. I haven't used AVG in a few years. It caused my first and only blue screen in Vista. Come to think of it, I've never had one BSOD in 7, 8, 8.1 or 10.

P.S. There is an option there someplace(I saw it) that allows you to revert back to your previous version of Winders.

actual, the update does not allow you to do a clean install on your system... only an update.. there are ways of wiping things clean, but it requires jumping through some hoops.

After you upgrade your PC to Windows 10 and it is activated, you can then use the Media Creation Tool to make an ISO for burning to a DVD or a bootable USB key then Windows 10 can be clean installed with no problems. If you get prompted for a Product Key during the clean install setup, just keep hitting "skip".
