Northern Ontario Avalanche!

Post #1 by Loco101 » Tue Feb 14, 2012 3:47 pm

From what I've read this video was taken near Matheson. Somebody said near Holtyre but I'm thinking it's along Hwy 101 East of Matheson where that former Johns-Manville asbestos mine tailings mountain are. Either way it's in Northern Ontario.

Imagine if the guy didn't have friends along with him!! What happened is incredible!

Warning: Contains Northern Ontario language.

WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO! There were 2 cameras, one from a distance and one on the guy's helmet who got buried!

This guy is very lucky !!! If he would of had another foot of snow on top of him, it would of been game over. This is why you never snowmobile alone. From the clip, it does look like in the area of Holtyre and Ramore.

Good Post Loco !!!

this is an abandoned Johnsmanville mine near Matheson. They used to mine asbestos but it closed many years ago.
